Out and About with Franc Essential

Penrhos College for Girls has for several years now provided a unique experience for the our girls by hosting a “Women in Business Conference”....

in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCIWA). This conference allows the girls the opportunity to speak with ‘real’ women in business and gauge the important skills and qualities that are required to be successful in business. It provides a long lasting, tangible experience that girls take away with them when engaged in small business activities in the College.

I was asked whether I would be interested in being one of their mentors for the 2010 Conference for a group of approximately six girls at a round table. It was an excellent experience and I was most impressed with the opportunities school students have now a days.

But what impressed me most that these 15 year old girls I mentored invited me to their presentation. I was delighted to do this and see how well they had picked on my brand, what I had said and how they then created their projects - one group did it as a radio interview with funky music and jokes .

Would I do it again next year? Absolutely.
